It's November. Already. I don't know how that happened.
Where did August, September, and October go?
The leaves have turned and are falling all too fast.
It's getting cold.
I'm busy.
The most recent book to appear on my reading list was "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks. The book appeared on my list, was read, and soon disappeared. It was last seen in the hands of one of my brothers.
Several of my friends (and three of my brothers) continually converse on the idea of zombie plans: what they're going to do when the Zombie Apocalypse happens. My brother's regular conversation starter is to ask someone if they've got a zombie plan. This book gives you the do's and don'ts. The whys and wherefores. It documents recent "invasions". It gives plans for defending your domicile of choice. What to do first. Which weapons are best.
If you're concerned about the possibility of a zombie attack, I recommend this book.
If you know someone who is concerned (or obsessed) with the possibility of a zombie attack, I recommend this book.
I will probably be loaning it out to friends if I ever recover it from the boys.
I recently received one of those emails that everyone passes on and on and on. This one came from my grandmother, who sent it to my mother, who sent it to me. The last quote on the email was worth sharing everywhere:
"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control,
mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms
tearing up the country from one end to another,
and with the threat of swine flu
and terrorist attacks.
Are we sure this is a good time
to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"
