What's New

Writing.

Posted by Madison C. Scott at 09:39 AM on October 24, 2009

Sleep rather refused to come last night. I had to write. There was a new twist in my mind to apply to the story.

My newest book is up to 25,608 words.

I've discovered that I write in spurts. I'll exhaust my imagination, and won't be able to work on a certain story for a while. I'm just tired of looking at it, thinking about it, coming up with things for the characters to do and say.

I work best when I've got two or three stories going at once.

This is just one big learning process.

I've never going to get it completely figured out.

It helps me to draft an outline. Every story has the basics. But if you follow the outline, you will get to where you want the reader to go.
